The Story Behind
Cronin Hardwood Floors
Owner John Cronin began working in the hardwood flooring industry in 1990. Starting his career as a floor sanding technician, John quickly gained experience in hardwood floor refinishing and installation techiques.
Over time he progressed through the industry, eventually moving into management roles where he oversaw flooring projects and worked directly with clients to plan installations and refinishing work.
After more than a decade of experience working for another flooring contractor, John decided to start his own company. His goal was simple — to provide homeowners and businesses with high-quality flooring craftsmanship backed by honest service and clear communication.
Through hard work and dedication, Cronin Hardwood Floors grew from a single vehicle servicing local jobs to a well-established flooring contractor serving clients across Northern New Jersey and New York City.
Hands-On Project Management
Unlike many flooring companies, John Cronin remains actively involved in every project.
He personally meets with clients during the initial consultation, evaluates the flooring conditions, and provides a formal proposal outlining the recommended work. Estimates are typically provided within one day of the site visit.
Throughout the project, John regularly visits job sites to ensure that work is completed to the highest standards. He also helps guide clients through important decisions such as selecting stain colors, choosing flooring materials, or determining the best refinishing approach for older floors.
